The short version

We collect as little as possible, sell nothing, and email you only what you signed up for. Recall411 exists to warn you about recalled products, not to trade in your data.

What we collect

Your email address — used to sign you in (passwordless one-time links) and to deliver the recall notifications you subscribe to. Your U.S. state or ZIP — used only to localize your recall report to what can actually reach your shelves. Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor; card numbers never touch our servers. We keep server logs (IP address, pages requested) briefly for security and debugging, as nearly every website does.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. We do not send marketing email on behalf of anyone else. We do not track you across other websites.

Email, consent, and leaving

You receive email from us only after you provide your address and confirm it by using a sign-in link — effectively double opt-in, since nothing can be sent to an address whose inbox you have not proven you control. Every notification email includes a way to stop receiving it, and address deliverability failures (bounces, complaints) automatically suppress future sending. To delete your account and data, email feedback@recall411.com and we will remove it.

Cookies

One cookie: your session, so you stay signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to run the service: Amazon Web Services (hosting), Stripe (payments), and a transactional email provider (message delivery). Each receives only what its function requires.

Children

Recall411 is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes and contact
